Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, established at March July 3, 1992, by Law No. 3837, began its educational life with the Çanakkale Faculty of Education, Çanakkale High School and Biga High School, which were transferred from Trakya University in the academic year 1992-1993. Together with 1 Graduate School of Education, 18 Faculties, 4 Colleges, 13 High Schools, our university has reached a total of 36 educational units. Besides these; It has one of the best libraries in Turkey. There is also a Library, a hobby garden, an Intellectual Activity Center and an Indoor Gym in Biga Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The Department of Public Administration, established in 1994 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Çanakkale Onsekiz March University, Biga, continues its educational activities today with a total of four departments: Urbanization and Environmental Problems, Administrative Sciences, Legal Sciences, Political and Social Sciences. The department includes a 4-year Undergraduate education and an optional 1-year foreign language education. There are master's and non-thesis master's programs and doctoral programs affiliated to the department.

Mission: To train employees with superior managerial qualities to the public sector at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, to produce studies that will contribute to academic development and to share the knowledge produced with the relevant sectors. It is to ensure that students receiving education receive the necessary infrastructure in the field of public administration at the maximum level and to make efforts on this path.
Vision: To be a preferred department with competitive power, teamwork and participatory management understanding in regional, national and international issues with research, extension and learning services, taking science and technology into account.
OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Goals: The objectives of the Department of Public Administration are to improve the equality, fairness, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of public services in a non-profit sector within the framework of democratic values. The aim of ensuring that students gain practical knowledge about administrative, political and legal issues and gain the ability to make assessments by following historical developments in the field of administrative science is at the forefront.
Objectives: The Department of Public Administration aims to train individuals who will provide employment in such positions as administrative judicial judge, governor, specialty, inspectorate in the country, graduate students who are qualified to work in domestic and international units of the Sayıştay, Rekabet Kurumu and similar public institutions.
The department aims to bring its graduates to the level of being able to work in different departments of the finance sector and other sectors such as public and private sector banks, insurance companies, factoring organizations, and to train future managers as a result of the knowledge gained about management.
The Department of Public Administration aims to educate the human power, which is one of the main elements of public administration, to adequately explain and assimilate the methods and institutional structures to the student on this path.
